Post Nov. 12th buck
I have been blessed to have a unique property to hunt in an urban archery location. On November 12th, I had the chance to hunt the property during the morning and saw a nice buck scoot down the hillside well out of bow range. I watched him work down towards the bottom, stopping to rub a few trees and then disappear. This was the second time I saw a buck take the same track. So that afternoon I took my climber and found the only tree I could climb and set up. Well, it paid off. A buck came up from the bottom and I didn't see him until he was about 30 yards out. I was sitting and had to stand up, grab my bow and by that time he was only about 20 yards. I drew back, picked my shooting lane, he stepped into it and thwack! Watched him run off and fall over about 60 yards away. Truly exciting and fast hunt.
