 Ruger American Picked up a Ruger American 270 today @ Dicks for $325, thought this was a great deal. I have heard good things about these rifles. I topped it with a 3x9 Nikon. Anyone else here have any experience with these rifles?

Re: Ruger American I don't own one but I've shot a couple and think they're a pretty good hunting rifle. A guy in my club bought a 7-08 youth model for his grandson & another guy in the club has one in 06. They're inexpensive, not too heavy, easy to clean and they shoot straight. And - you don't stress when they're bouncing around on the ATV rack getting dirty.

Re: Ruger American Dad bought one several years ago in 243. It shoots sub MOA which impressed me. I enjoy shooting it when I have the chance. Dad took a nice buck with it his first year using it, 175 yard shot.
