Post Veteran's Day 9
Two days late, but thank you to all the service men and women out there! If it wasn't for them, we couldn't do what we do! After 3 years of chasing a particular buck, the quest ended at 8:30 am Tuesday morning. I passed a nice 8 point early at first light that was a 3.5 year old with a heavy rack ,lucky I did because after a rattling sequence, I went to hang my antlers up on my hanger and saw this guy coming up the strip of oaks I was 30 feet up in.....didn't have time to get nervous, his path would lead him by me at 12 yards...I stopped him in an opening and as the smoke cleared he wheeled around and loped with his tail tucked back down the hill. He made it 40 yards and piled up in an old civil war road bed.. Three years of pursuit was Done! in 10 seconds! I never laid eyes on him ever in 3 years.. only preseason trail cam pics! He was 5.5 years old , slightly smaller than last year , 18" inside 20 " outside 13" 2s and 11"3s. He has 9 score able points, 24 " beams ...Big for a main frame 8!

Take it from me.. the pics may not do that deer justice.. I put hands on him and he is a monster.. those G2s are some of the biggest I have ever seen and he was bigger last year than this..

Congrats again Man.. what a Stud.. this is the reward for passing deer for 2 plus years..
