Post Early freezer meat.
My season got off to a good start last Saturday morning when this doe walked under my stand. She doesn't look like it from 18 feet up but she went 118 lbs. Always good to fill the freezer early.Image

Nice going and great shot. Not only did you get (a lot of) meat, but whacking a few does early can make the rut in your hunting areas heighten.

I got lucky and shot a nice doe Friday. My son and I were only in the stand 15 minutes and 2 fawn popped out. They went over the hill and then momma came out. She scoped the area and looked like she was about to run so I tank her with the 50 cal. I would guess she weighed 90 lbs. Lots of fat on her. Very healthy doe. She too looks yummy.

Congrates on your deer. Weathers is cooling off so hopefully the bucks will get up and start chasin.
