Can out of state deer be entered, and if so, would they be eligible if taken before Oct. 1?

For the youth category, why not allow Does. A lot of young hunters will only get a chance to kill a Doe. We want to keep it fun for them also. Just a suggestion! Also, is there any fee or suggested donation required for participation?

Neill.. Yes a deer can be entered from out of state so long as the entry is from a registered vaturkey.com member. However the contest dates are set for VA seasons because this is a VA based forum and to keep it simple. Any out of state entery this year must be taken during the contest period. tnx
Flat... We decided to keep it simple for the first year ie. bucks only. We'll see what pans out for next year. tnx
Tnx for the input guys!
Good luck and have fun!
