Wish I was! Between work, grandkids (living with me currently), and the 1.50 hr drive to get to the hunting area, I just can't make it. Oh yeah, its aweful HOT to. I think that is about enough excuses, I mean reasons!
Seriously, it won't be long before I get rolling. Some cooler weather wouldn't hurt! With heat index 2 days ago it was 115 degrees (feels like). I can't wait for it to be here!

Scoutin season has officially begun out here in Wy....out a couple of weekends ago in the high country and saw some really nice mulie bucks....probably 10- 15 in the 160-180 range and a smoker over 200. the elk are still in there main summer pattern but did hear some light bugles from a couple of bulls and did see a nice shooter in the 320 class. the extremely wet spring has paid off as usual and there is plenty of forage for everything, grass is 1-2 feet tall even up around 10 000 ft. Flyin back to va for a week then off to Sundance to kick the season off...good luck to everyone this fall and look forward to seein how the eastern deer are doin as well as all of you all.
