New Farm = Nine points!
Well I gained access to hunt a new farm this year. I scouted two evenings a couple weeks before season and there was some promising sign. I've killed a few does so far this year to stock the fridge and freezer with burger, sausage, and jerky but I was itching for some horns... Saturday, October 13th... I got settled in my stand around 4:30. A little later than I would've liked but it was difficult finding the perfect tree to setup. Once I finally got settled in well and had been sitting for about 30 minutes I decided I was better off on the opposite side of the tree. I adjusted my climber and busted a beautiful buck that was 30 yards away which I hadn't seen or heard. In my defense I'm only hunting about 200 yards off of I-295. I watched where he ran off and about 20-25 minutes later he cautiously came back to the oak ridge that was surround by thick swamps and mature pine plantations. He was strolling down a trail to a little opening at 32 steps before he decided to change courses and stop at 15 yards, broadside... The Mathews sounded off. Fletchings buried right through both shoulders and he never could quite get his stuff together to get out of the area. He crashed about 50 yards from my tree... Sorry about the picture, all I had was my phone on me before I got him out of the woods
