I think there are some supplement companies that say their product helps get rid of ticks and such. Don't know for sure. I thought about putting out a dusting bag to help with ticks and such. Maybe make it so the deer have to run their heads through it to get to a mineral lick or something like that.

To me they do look uncomfortable. If nothing else they make me ich.
