Early Return Shows Deer Kill Up
Quote: According to figures compiled through the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries' electronic game checking system, hunters used phones or the Internet to report killing 166,027 whitetails through this weekend.
That's an increase of more than 14,000, or nearly 10 percent, from the electronic total from last season, when the total deer kill ended up right around 225,000. The full article from Mark Taylor is here>>>>>>> http://www.roanoke.com/outdoors/wb/303305

Re: Early Return Shows Deer Kill Up
I'd be willing to bet that at least 10% or more of those phone ins are "phantom does" that were never killed. The kill in our area is way down, the # of deer put in our cooler is down, the deer donated to the Hunters for the Hungry is down 25% statewide. Someone tell me where all these deer were supposedly killed.
