 Opener 10pt w new picJust like striker, I got in the stand extra early yesterday morning. In Fauquier, we still had strong N wind at 15-20 mph...and boy was it cold. I was set up facing north in a thin strip of oaks overlookin an 80acre corn field where I'd gotten several pics of good bucks since August. Nothing at first light except for my neighbor driving his dodge by me at 40 yards in the hay field behind me...Great ...
 ......I thought.....well as he drove on. I noticed a small buck come cruzin cross the cornfield bout 100yards from me. Throughout the morning i saw a 22 turkeys, couple does and other small bucks on the other side of the corn field. By 10am, I was froze!! I stood up in my Summit and turned around to get my pack off the tree and 2 does came running by at 30 yards from my neighbors field behind me. i had already screwed my primary safety down and decided just to sit for another 15 minutes...10 went by and I decided to get down. As i stood up again, I looked behind from same direction the does came from and there was a nice buck trailing 100yards and comming straight at me....all down wind! When he got to 60 yards and intered the woods, I stopped him. As i shot he took a step and the hit looked to be back a bit....He ran bout 30 yards hunched up and stood there for me to reload and put another one in his neck....He dropped at the 2nd shot....very even 10 point w 2" of brow tine broken on rt side...19.5" outside this deer was 4.5...Ive had pics of him for past 3 years...     _________________ It's not who you are, it's what you do that defines you.
