Post Need Help...found crack in new Bow
I got a NEW Fred Bear bow for Christmas....I was looking over and found a crack......it is a split limb and if you look between the splits....the crack is on the peice of metal that connects the limbs to the center section...this is my first bow ever as i am gonna give bow hunting a try next year....is it safe...i plan on taking it back but i was just curious if it was safe too shoot.......i am not gonna try it either way but i was wondering what could cause this?....thanks for the help guys

Dont shoot it!.. Take it back and get the cracked limb replaced. If you try and shoot it the limb could shatter and the bow colapse in your hand. doubt it would hurt ya but not good for the bow.

Should not be a problem getting the limb replaced on a new bow. May have to wait for the Manufacture to ship a limb to the retailer or worst case you may have to ship the bow back to the manufacturer. If the retailer will not take care of that for you on a new bow I would find another retailer to deal with in the future. No worries!!!
