Got 2 with my X-Bow
Archery season doesn't end until the 31st, but with other obligations I got to hunt this past Friday and Saturday. I was fortunate to tag a deer each day. I need meat for sausage and the Lord provided. One thing I found interesting was how lean these deer were. They were both real healthy but thin. Up here we had a poor mast crop and the deer are living on grass and browse. I would assume this is normal but hope we don't get a bad snow storm or we could lose more of our herd.
Is this pretty normal this late in the season?
Regards,
Vic
