Carolina ramblings continued...this time in NC

Just got back from NC, hunted with great friend Chris R. I was fortunate to be the first one to hunt one of his new ladder stand sets when this dude came slipping around the hardwood ridge heading to his bedding area. i was ready with the .270 and chris got it all on film. this is my biggest NC buck to date and i am darn proud of him! Thanks again Chris. we hunted the remainder of monday and saw nothing...fought the wind and cold on tuesday and saw 1 doe and 1 small buck and then had a gorgeous morning to hunt today - frigid cold and no wind...passed up 5 bucks and saw several does. ...where he fell... ...me with Chris, who AGAIN made it all possible... ...another blessed day to be privileged to be afield _________________ "A man who insists on adherence to the facts when it comes to his hunting exploits, size of fish...abilities of his bird dog...is an untrustworthy fellow. Ya'll must have a good secret for success. Think it is something to do with the folks you hang with or the hair colour . Congrats on the hunt!
