I just read the Goochland Paper. I could not believe what I was reading! It scares me. But the old movie “Build it and they will come" Well Goochland is starting to bust at the seems with people and subdivisions. It also appears that a lot of our new neighbors do not approve of hunting.

So the board is looking at BANNING the shooting of a firearm, with a 1/2 Mile of a subdivision. The article also talked about having written person by the adjoining land owner as a possibility too. Luckily the board decided to not make a decision on it, and gave the Sheriff more time to come up with a proposal. But thinking like this could stop hunting on your land, or firing a gun on your property without your neighbor’s written permission, especially if your land backs up to a subdivision.

I am usually not a big activist, but this is too close to home.
