Post Calling All Deer Hunters
Someone out there got to have a deer story. Maybe not killed one but at least a story.

I am not a deer hunter but have heard a couple stories at Quantico game check station. Pretty good deer kill so far, deer looking healthy.

So far had 3 hunters that have had black bears within 30 yards of thier stands but did not have a bear tag.

Been hunting the farm in Prince William Co. lots of rubs and plenty of acorns. Passed on 1 small buck and have seen a couple does. The real story is the amount of turkeys seen the couple days I've been out!!!!

I've only been out once so far. Including myself, we had three people on our lease on opening day and we hunted from sunup to sundown. I was the only person to see a deer, a three pointer. I did see a group of jakes, about 8 of them. During the evening rain I had a family flock of 12 come by on their way to roost.

Found this one a couple Friday's back. Shot from the edge of a ridge with my crossbow. He was a 140" 9 point, weighed 165 pounds.
I have pics but can't get them to reduce small enough to put on the site here, 256 KB max.
