MD TURKEY HUNTER - I looked at both guns the other day and they were both very nice. The thing I did notice is that the Beretta seems like a much bigger gun because of how long the forearm is. I think you'll find that the Benelli is a little bit lighter as well which you may want to keep in mind if you do a lot of moving around. I haven't shot either gun so I can't speak to how well they pattern. Good luck! |

guest, i hunt green ridge, been hunting there my whole life, some real good turkey hunting there, still didnt come up with your email info, maybe you can try again. thanks shaggy, i know how well my benelli shot, guess i had no good reason to sell it, just planned on getting the sbeII. but ive always been interested in the beretta. i know the beretta is gas operated, and people have said they jam some, but still have the 11-87 i bought when i was 16, gas operated, and never jammed one time in thousands of shells. they said the same thing about the black eagle, and its not supposed to work well with 2 3/4" shells, but i never had one jam with it either. the benelli pattern was awesome, shot the red winchester 3.5" not the hv shells, and i can say it made my 11-87 3" pattern look like a 20 gauge, but then again, i never had a problem killing with the remington, but i like all the help i can get, only takes one pellet, and things are not always the way you like it when shooting at turkeys. |
