Happy Easter to all! Please contemplate the meaning of today and how it applies to you and your family.

Killed a limb hanger yesterday. Short version, heard 5 gobblers off the property that I was hunting at daylight, all shut up when they hit the ground. I walked 4.2 miles between 7:15 and 11:20, did not get a response, and when I got back to my car there was a strutter in the field 200 yards in front of the car. Circled around and got on him with two hens. Finally got lucky and killed him at 12:00 straight up! 19 pounds 14 ounces, 10 1/2 inch beard, and spurs that are 1 1/2" and 1 3/8". At least a four year old. The bird had an old wound on the back of his head about the size of a nickel that exposed his skull. I assume it was a fighting wound as he had several other punctures on his legs and breast. If only I was smart enough to post a picture.
