Had to be at work around 9 today but decided to try a spot I can drive close to on a field which has been one of my best spots for several years. This guy was roosted in the woods about 100 yds back from the far edge of the field. Answered me from the roost and from the ground but hung up for about an hour over there in the woods, finally gobbles his way around end of field to my side then I see him trotting along field edge on my side, apparently having decided to mix it up with my Jake-Mobile decoy (B-Mobile's little brother). I killed him before he got there and when I went to get him a hen who had been out of my view behind him flushed. 8:00, just time to take him home to my garage fridge and change clothes. A pretty sturdy 2 year old, 18-1, 9" beard, one 3/4" spur and one nub.
