| Post subject: | Anyone hunting Blue Ridge Mountains or Sperryville, VA? |
Heard one gobbler this Saturday. Gobbled quite a bit on the roost but as soon as he hit the ground he went silent. Went to another property Sunday and did not hear one gobble and I know the birds are there. Anyone else having a slow start? |

I hunted about 150 acres in the BRM -- Greene Co. -- this weekend and didn't hear the first gobble. Heard some roost gobbling about 1 1/2 weeks ago. 2 wks ago I saw a flock of ~10 hens with a longbeard in tow. They're around here too, just not talking much. |

Yea I saw a group of about 15 or so with hens and a few gobblers in a field right beside the road on youth opening day. Hopefully this warm weather will get them going soon! Thanks for the info. |
