Been lurking around reading here for a couple years and figured I might as well start posting.

Have any of you shot the 20 gauge Longbeards yet? If so, how did they pattern?

DD, I shoot the Win LB XR out of my 12ga Rem. 11-87 and was planning on trying it out of my 20. Until I read the thread about the Federal HW #7s viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9776

Found some at Macks Prairie Wings and got two boxes. Specs show it hits harder!
Plan on patterning this coming weekend.

I patterned the Federal HW 7's last year through an old Topper 20ga with a modified choke last year (the one I'm hoping use this year). The HW 7's held a nice pattern out to 35 yd or so but not at 40. I'd have to pull my targets when I get home to check the number of hits.
I know with my 12 ga 870, the Longbeards were/are the densest patterning so far with 190-200 (#6's) in a ten inch ring at 40yds.

I drove around to Dicks, Gander Mtn, and Field and Stream (Charlottesville) this evening looking for 20ga Longbeards with no luck. I guess I'll have to wait another week or two, the associate at Field and Stream said they'll be getting a new order in next week.
