This morning me and my uncle head back to were Monday 2 strutters got by us and was following there 12 hens. We brought the strutter decoy this morning thinking they wouldn't want a strange gobbler moving in on there hens. After 2.5 hrs of fooling with these birds with a lot of hen talk the 2 LB headed our way. they came out in field were our decoy was and I thought they wont be able to stand this. Wrong! the scooted around our strutter headed on around the field. After disappearing we made a move hoping we knew were they was heading. We get set up and sure enough they was heading to us with 5 hens and 2 jakes. A few soft calls and then just wait. The hen almost gave us away but Darrell took the shot quick. He weighed 18 lbs 10 in beard and 1 inch spurs!
