Post Re: Spring Fever
My migration from Upland Journal to Va Turkey has begun :) . I am looking forward to the upcoming season even though bird numbers seem to be down in my part of the state. I will be hunting Va, Pa, and Nebraska this year with the possibility of also hitting WV if I have the time. Good luck to all. I'm looking forward to reading about everyone's adventures.

How was your upland season? The woodcock were plentiful over here this year.

This was my worst upland season in 50 years of hunting. I did not kill a grouse and flushed less than 15 all season. I'd love to have found some woodcock but had one productive point this past season and that was in Pa.

Thanks goodness for Turkey's. One year old bird dog and we killed one Va wild quail this year and zero grouse and zero woodcock. Hunting in Nebraska this year as well as Va for Turks.

I will be spending a lot of time in the woods this spring. I will be hunting VA, WVA, MD and Nebraska. Can't wait hopefully Turkey season will be as good as this last deer season.

Ran into your dad today at Wall-Mart and he said, you may be heading to GA or SC also.

No GA this year, I was trying to get a possible SC hunt right after we hunted on youth day but still waiting to hear back from the person who has the land to hunt.

Went out this morning for a little bit and listened, didn't hear anything. Had a friend deer hunting in Loudon and heard 2-3 gobbling good in the tree. He said they were done once they hit the ground.
