last day of the season we were walking through a field on the way back to the truck and flushed a hen, we walked over to where she flushed and about 8 poults scattered into the tall grass. Probably a couple days to maybe a week old.

In a cut hayfield down the road from where I live on the way to the dump. I could see 9 of the little rascals. Looked to be a couple weeks old.

Saw a hen with 8-10 poults on my way to work yesterday evening. About the size of a quail. Hoping for another good hatch. So far the conditions in N Faquier have been good. This is the earliest I have seen poults, but have never really went out looking for them either.

Saw a hen with at least 4 or 5 little ones on my property this afternoon! Haven't seen poults up here in 3 years!!! I think predators have put a hurting on them! So far that's at least a good sign seeing them little boogers!!! I think there were more but the grass was tall and she wasn't sticking around to let me count good! ;)

This is a non report. Haven't seen first ones and I usually see some when I am going in and out of fields next to trout rivers. Got some messages from some of you that you in Va are seeing some including one brood of twelve. Some also seeing groups of hens still with strutting gobblers so second nests may be still coming

In the last 5 days I have hears 4-5 gobblers gobbling from my yard, 3 hens with 6-10 poults each, a hen with 2 gobblers in tow on driveway, and found a lone egg on shoulder of driveway. It's been a turkey kind of week!

Hen here near the house hatched on wed eve or thurs morning. Saw her feeding wed morning no poults. On thurs morning she stayed in one spot for 30+ min. Binos revealed she had fuzz balls in tow.

Looks to be a fair hatch around here. Seen a hen the other day crossing the road with 7 little ones and I mean little. Maybe only a month old.

Seeing lots of longbeards that were left over. Starting to see some small flocks of hens and poults.

My dad said he was driving through Sussex county the other day and saw a large hen come up from the ditch bank, so he stopped to let her cross. She had 8 poults in tow... Just then on the opposite ditch bank came another hen who had 7 poults in tow...
