Funny Story
For the past 2 weeks I've been driving by this little scheluded 5 acre field and have seen a big gobbler strutting in the company of 2 hens, like clock work 715 there out there. Me and a buddy have joked about it couple of times of how this bird must have a death wish especially this late in the season. Well it got to tempting I started seeing this truck parked at the field with his decoy's in it, and wouldn't you know not even a 1/8 mile past the field in these people's backyard there been a gobbler there with 2 hens plucking around, not sure if it was the same tom or not but it seemed funny how just a little hunting pressure or his hens may have dragged him away from danger. Just a little thing I thought was funny it's happen to me before too many times I think I quit counting.

Re: Funny Story
Don't you think hens are a lot smarter than gobblers this time of year? The hens see danger and know where the safety zones are. Backyards are typically pretty safe.
