I missed opening day due to family stuff and not being able to fit the four hour drive to my dads into the families plans. I needed to get into the woods though. So, I just hammered out 6 miles in some of the best looking turkey habitat I've seen in quite some time. Hard woods, pine tree, ponds, creeks, power lines, water line cuts, logging roads, thickets, open woods...you name it, its here. The only thing missing is the birds! I jumped two deer and one hippie and his sweater wearing dog. I love Va but hate Hampton Roads and the 7 cities! I wish I lived closer to the mountains! End of rant.... good luck to everyone this season! |
