I know there have been postings on here before about out of state hunts in Florida, but I wanted to throw my question out before Saturday and all the great stories take over the board. I have a buddy stationed at Patrick AFB east of Orlando, FL for the next 2.5 years so I figured this would be a great time to plan a trip down for a visit and a turkey hunt during one of the upcoming spring seasons. I know I can do research on the internet and find plenty but I was wondering if anyone had thoughts or suggestions for planning a hunt around the central part of the state. Are there good public places to hunt? Any outfitters you might recommend? Anything I should be aware of that might catch a Virginia native by surprise (other than snakes and gators)? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
