Jerry Michael Paitsel & Struttinbird Turkey Calls Botetourt County officials believe a woman found dead Friday morning outside her Eagle Rock home fatally shot herself. Linda Renee Craft, 54, was found in the back yard of her home on Lakeside Place shortly after someone called 911 around 6:40 a.m., said Sheriff’s Deputies found 62-year-old Jerry Michael Paitsel in a bedroom in the home with a “possible” gunshot wound to his head, Dudding said. He was flown to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital; spokesman Eric Earnhart had no information on his condition Friday afternoon. Craft and Paitsel both lived at the residence, Dudding said, though he didn’t describe their relationship. Records show the pair formerly listed a shared address in Covington.
