Post Takin pics of yourself with the bird???
Some of you guys are taking some fantastic pics of yourself with your kills.... Not sure if you guys are hunting with a friend or solo.like I usually do. My question is?????? b]when hunting alone[/b], how do you capture yourself, the bird and the spot of the kill...... I'm usually holding my 35 mm camera and will snap a pic of the bird positioned on the ground, maybe hangin from a limb or more times than not, laying on the tailgate of my truck.... Some of you guys are taking "calendar quality" pics.....I know some of it is the camera itself but you guys are framing some great "hero shots" as well....... I know a tripod or something will be needed, how about snapping the pic.... a remote ????

These fold up real nice and compact and could find a spot in your vest. I don't have one, yet, but my cousin does and they make great tripods for any type of terrain.

As far as taking the picture of yourself, check the manual for your camera and figure out how to use the timer. My phone has a camera timer (new fangled contraptions) and I can set it for 10 seconds, plenty of time to get set up and hold the fan out!

Hope this helps!

there are "free" self timer apps for smartphones ..its what i use now. Still carry pentax 34wr but smartphones pics are really good . The editing apps that come with the self timer apps plus those on the phones make the pictures a lot better . A gorilla pod is a great device if you carry a digital camera or any other self timer camera that will screw in to the Gorilla Pod.; those things have flexible legs to get a perfect level pic every time my smartphone wont take a gorilla pod screw so l jut prop the camera up ...takes some fiddlin to get right and stable. then you edit.
