Week 1
Opening day...I killed biggest gobbler of my life!
Thursday opening week..... I killed the second and biggest coyote ever!
Saturday the 20th.... I called in and got a first time hunter a big old mature gobbler!
all from the same tree!
Week 2
Wednesday..... took another young man out and 2 missed oppurtunities. ( no shot fired).... birds were goin crazy!! Gobbling!
Thursday... they changed their roost site..... messed us up..no gobbling after 7 am...
Today (Saturday 27th)... one gobble from daylight till 11:15..... saw 4 hens..one at 15 yards... one jake..at 175 yards....
This week..I got beat...and humbled by these turkeys!! I only have maybe 3 more hunts left... I hope it picks up quickly!! I spent this entire week calling for others... I really do want another turkey! I hope this Thursday..my next day and possibly last day really needs to go good!!
However...regardless of how the rest of my short season is... I thank God every single day that He has given us this/His AMAZING Creation and our fredom to hunt!! He is so good!
