Post help with decoy setup
I got a hen and Jake decoy, but have never used decoys before. The place I have been hunting, I haven't been able to coax the turkeys out to get a shot. It has a lot of fields so I was hoping a decoy would help draw them out. Is there any particular way to set them up? Close together or distance apart, should one be closer to the woods? This is new to me (using the decoys that is) so any bit of help would be great.

Setup your jake decoy where you want to shoot the gobbler... most of the time they will go straight for the jake. I typically will set a hen or hens off to the side and not too close to the jake, unless you are going for the jake breeding the hen scenario. Turkeys huddled close together generally signal nervous turkeys so spread them out a little... 10-20 feet apart. Knock em dead!
