Poults
Gents,
Talked to my cousin. He has been doing a little scouting this spring for my sons first turkey hunt. Hope to get him on one, 14 April is youth day. Anyway, he saw about a dozen birds in this one area and said about 5 were the size of small chickens. He swears they are poults. He is near Ocean City Maryland and it has been warm. Is it possible to have poults this early? I have never heard of it but it certainly is a warm spring.
If they are poults than wonder if that will effect spring gobbler? Maybe the Toms will be more randy if a lot of the hens are already done.

Re: Poults
Never heard of it before in a wild turkey. Anything is possible.
One only possibility that I know of is that someone had a bronze domestic turkey around, they sometimes had poults in February/March.
