Ordered a Indian Creek BDS choke tube back in December after seeing the impressive results posted by Econo. I was out shooting it today using the Federal Heavy Weight # 7 with good results......until I went to see if it needed re tightened, only to notice it had SPLIT!! After only 3 shots and SPLIT!! Very disappointed with this, I contacted them with no response thus far, but I HOPE they make this right..... I dunno if this was a bad tube to begin with or what?!?!

Sorry to hear that. They had this problem I believe it was 2 years ago. Had something to do with the alloy metal they used. They got that corrected and no dought will make it right for you. They have very good customer service.

It is a good choke, I have one on my 870 sup mag and shot Hvy 13 and Win Xtend through it with good results.

I had a Carlson tube that done that to me a few years back. They replace it they even sent me a new one before I sent back the old one. I'm sure Indian Creek will replace it I've heard nothing but good things with their customer service.

The Indian Creek website clearly states to NOT shoot Fed HW with the flight control wads through their ported chokes . Glad you was not injuried .

Indian Creek website clearly states to NOT shoot Fed HW with the flight control wads through their ported chokes. Look at the bottom of this page....... http://www.indiancreekss.com/

i'd say you out of luck in getting them to send you a new one if you say "Fed HW with the flight control loads" is what you shot in that choke  you are lucky and Im Glad you was not injuried :smt002

I seen the 2 above posters nailed it. I contacted them today stating that I heard that someones tube cracked and if they were having any problems they had a couple years ago, also brought up the ammo used and they said it is stated on their web site about the Fed HW. Glad also that nothing more serious happened.

I did not know until talking with them about that ammo and flight control wad.

Nowhere on the packaging does is state any warning about the use of federal with flight control. I did not order it and therefore did not see it posted online. My wife had ordered it for me as a gift. Any how , they did reimburse me and also said that the warning is from Federal not Indian Creek. The warning is because the ports strip the wad from the shot. They acted like the choke tube itself should have held up, just with poor pattern results if flight control wads were shot through it. New one is in the gun from midway supply since they were cheaper and had them in stock, had trouble getting the last one from Indian Creek themselves. Its giving good results with hevi 13 # 7's.

Glad you got it all worked out. What kind of #'s are you getting with the #7 shot? That combo should be good for up to 40 yards.
