IF it was said you could only hunt one season which would you choose deer or turkey?? I'm not asking because i was told that,by my wife but me and friend were talking which he hunts both deer and turkey same as me an he choose deer, he said it's more of a rush to shoot a big buck, I'm the oppisite there's nothing more of a rush than hearing that ole tom screaming off the roost at first light wether he's 100yrds or 500yrds it's a great feeling to me at least. That's my two cents.. |

I love to hunt both and hope I never have to choose. However, if it were only one it would be deer. My family lives on deer meat. It is our main staple. Now if I were like Freddy or GN and laid up turkeys like cord wood it may be a different story. Plus, deer season in MD is over 4 months long.  Vic |

Turkeys....and I ain't even killed one yet!  Last season was my first real season hunting Turkeys but I love the sound of that thunderin gobble on a crisp Spring morning!

+1 for deer, but only...and its a big only, because my family lives off of deer meat. if it was'nt for that all i would do is is turkey hunt, spring and fall. |

For the enjoyment of the hunting, turkeys. For meat, although turkey is delicious, I have to have some venison, as I want to eat more wild game than three turkeys a year in addition to small game. Sure am glad I don't have to make this choice. |
