Well, we lost again this year." That comment on my blog by "Ranger 217" pretty well summed up the resignation many hunters felt Wednesday, after a Senate bill to overturn Virginia's long-standing Sunday hunting ban was killed in a seven-person House subcommittee by a 4-3 vote. Hunters are used to this, of course, but this year the disappointment reached a new level because a reversal of the ban loomed close enough to taste.......... http://www.roanoke.com/outdoors/wb/305097 |
