Good for you. The only bird I shot in NC this year was a jake.I got him on opening day april 9th. I had called up a nice gobbler for my dad earlier that morning in NC and I decided to try another farm down the road fro myself. I got him to gobble a little after 10:30. He came on out in the field with 4 hens just a strutting, I let him gobble 2 more times before I lowered him. Sometimes a jake can keep you from giving up for the season. Thank GOD for those gobbling strutting jakes.....
