Amazon.com Joins Forces with Gun Control Group Amazon.com, the online superstore, has united with the anti-gun movement this holiday season. Amazon.com is promoting the Million Mom March, a group known for its support of strict gun control laws and regulations. It will give five percent of every sale to the organization when visitors access Amazon’s website through the Million Mom March site. In 2001, the Million Mom March joined the Brady Campaign and the Brady Center to become the largest grassroots, non-partisan, anti-gun organization. Since then, the group has supported many anti-gun proposals, such as New Jersey Assembly Bill 3942, which was proposed to outlaw the sale of .50 caliber or larger firearms including muzzleloaders. Fortunately for sportsmen, the bill was withdrawn in January. Similar legislation has been introduced in California, Illinois, New York and Virginia. The Million Mom March also strongly opposed Senate Bill 1805, a congressional bill that would have protected firearm and ammunition manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and importers from frivolous lawsuits brought by victims of gun abusers. I'm sorry to hear that.. I have bought a few Turkey hunting books online from them.. I guess I will now have to shop elsewhere.. OH yea.. and Tscott thanks for pointing me to gunbroker.com last year when I was looking for that hard to find shotgun.. I finally found one listed on there.. I'm going to pick it up today.. Thanks for the info.. |

awww man and I just bought 2 30quart deep fryers from them! It was an amazing deal... Got 2 of them with everything for $39.95 shipped. The only thing it didnt come with was the oil, the turkey, and the propane tank. |

It's ironic too that Amazon has a whole section of their store devoted to hunting! What would the MMM think if they knew that? Seems like Amazon has no trouble with playing both sides as long as the profits keep rolling in! |
