yesterday afternoon.. i was standing out in my sun room watching 3 deer grazing in an old "garden" area 30 yards from my sunroom.. ( it isnt a garden anymore.. just really green grass) they kept looking into the the woods behind them like somethin was going on.. sooo being a hunter that got my curiousity up and i grabbed the binoculars... to my surprise!! there they were!!.. a nice size gobbler with one hen with him! The deer for some reason. i still dont know why.. busted out of there like they were spooked.. probably ran right on top of the birds.. so i though. ok.. the day is done!! atleast i know they are up here!!>. well a few min later i still see them millin around in the woods.. eventually walking within 30 steps of my home. crossed the road my guess to the roost! ( it was about 5:45 p.m. ) they arent gobblin at all yet where i am at! but it sure is nice to know that the boys are back in town!!.. |
