So far in two days of hunting, I've seen three birds go down. Opening day we brought in two and kept one. Today, at our first setup, we had four hens lead a gobbler in. My friend shot him. I then went to my place and had a jake come in strutting and gobbling within two minutes of getting setup. My place doesn't get much use by turkeys so a jake acting like a gobbler is fair game. Hens are responding very well to calling right now and are dragging in the toms. We have been hunting Talbot, Spalding and Coweta Counties. What WMA are you working?
