Well I finally managed to coax a longbeard back into gun range to finish out WV season and my spring turkey season. I took this gobbler at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning at 12 yds... I'm glad I don't have any more tags left but sorda sad that season is over.Very Bittersweet.. 16.11 lbs 10 1/2 beard 3/4 in. spurs Birds are still gobbling very good here in my part of WV but have not been easy to call all spring! Usually there seems to be a few days when you have to hide behind a tree to make a call or you'll get ran over, but this spring has been pretty tough. |

Congrats.. I have only hunted 3 days in WV this year.. but going again this Friday and Saturday to finish it out.. I still have both my tags, but have put 9 gobblers into gun range 3 of which rode in the truck calling for others.. I hope we can get on a couple more this weekend to finish it up right.. |
