2006 Cookout!
Board activity is picking up and lots of new users are showing up so it's time to start talking about the annual cookout.
I'm going to throw out the date of June 3rd to stay in line with what we have always done. I know we will have some conflicts and it won't work with everyone but let's go ahead and pencil that date in.
For the new folks out there you should definately try and make it... we hold it at Pine Spur Hunt Club just outside of Roanoke. Everyone brings a dish and we usually try to fry up a turkey or two for the main dish. We announce contest winners and have activities for the kids and tell lots of lie... I mean stories!
Hope everyone can attend, it's a great time for everyone!
If you have any questions just post them here and we'll answer them!

It's very accessible Barry. Gravel drive right up to the door and no steps... we would love to have you!

Thanks Freddie,
I'm gonna try to get there, sounds like fun. Can I bring a friend?
I'll get directions from you sometime before the cookout.

Hope everyone can come. Barry you can bring a truckload. The more the merrier. You will be hard-pressed to find a better group of people than at this cookout. We have folks from Tenn, PA, WV, NC, SC, etc that come.
Great time to tell stories, some even truthful. Hope to see you all there.
Oh I almost forgot the food is not that bad either.

Steve (vabeagler)... welcome to the site!
The cookout location is on Route 24 just East of Vinton. We'll give out some more detailed directions as the event gets closer.
Hope to see you there!!!

I'll be there as long as I don't have any mechanical failures to my automobile/flat tires/forced visitations of brand new infants due to successful breeding by my brother (who doesn't hunt). Looking forward to seeing more of the main crowd this year! Not that Freddy, Scott and Max weren't great to talk with for a few minutes! That strike king striker by BTD is oustanding- I feel really confident with it coupled with my power crystal! Thanks again Max.

2006 cookout
Diablo,
Am I correct in understanding that you live in SC?
You wouldn't happen to know a fellow named "Bubba" Harrelson would you?
