LAST day luck?
How many have ever killed a gobler on the last day of VA. season? I never have.

You certainly did... what a sweet hunt that was!! Thanks again!
Amy and I doubled on gobblers several years ago on the last day but that's the only one I can remember for me. I called one in for my brother on the last day last season.

A few years back I did in the pouring rain. It was a great hunt. I hope to score tomorrow too.

lasy day luck
May years ago (maybe 15) I took a bird on each of the last 2 days of the season.
One was a mountain bird the other a flatlander.

I killed the biggest gobbler I ever killed ( 1 1/2 spurs) on the last day last year. Now is the time to bust the boss! Have killed several on the last day over the years.

I've killed two last day birds.
My first was my first ever bird at age 14 in PA. Killed at 9:20am the last day of the season in 1981. Bird came over 400 yards in about 45 minutes and I killed him at 10 yards with a 20 ga. 22 lbs, 10" beard, 1" spurs.
My second was in WV in 1999. Season ended at 1pm and I shot the bird at 12:57pm...no lie! My best overall gobbler to date...19 1/2 lbs (little light), 11.5" beard and 1 7/16" spurs.
It doesn't end until it officially ends!
