Post I owe yall one
I have never takin a bird in may, but i used some tactics i picked up from reading posts here and got one sat in ga, just called a little which is real hard for me to do, and used some decoys which usually stay in my vest from the opener till the season ends and i clean it out, The old bird came in quite like yall said, i was still thinking he was in the tree. I had the gun laying in my lap, which yall said not to do, and a slate in my hands up on my knees, but was lucky because he was making a beeline to the decoys and when he went past a small tree at 20 yards he didnt even see me raise the gun. I do like to hear em gobble up close i guess thats a downside of decoys but i like carring over my shoulder also, so thanks to yall for some good advice that helped me take a late season bird.

Congrats, TW!! I agree, I'd rather carry a turkey than call one any day!!
