What do you think GN, will we break the record? A couple of counties may break 1,000! I still selfishly think they should move the season up a week and drop the limit back to three. But I wasn't complaining about busting #4 Tuesday morning before school. :)

There are a lot of hunters I know who have killed 3 or 4 birds this year in Tenn. It has been consistetnly good in east Tenn for the entire season imo . I have no idea what is in store for the future years, but this one was a good one. Fairly stable weather with no severe cold fronts through the entire month of April has to be a huge factor imo. I am stunned that Marshall Co , Coach B, has not had a better year, in terms of numbers. Did all the cattle disappear over there since last year?

Unbelievable you have counties almost to 1000 birds. pretty remarkablr populations there.

some of the counties are large geograpically. A lot of turkeys in Tenn are on private land, cattle farms etc. The drop in birds this spring in some counties in middle Tenn and west Tenn this year is hard to believe...I have never seen more birds anywhere than are out there. Those areas have had some really bad weather/tornado spring weekends though. Birds may be tehre, just nothunted etc.
