Crow Call Combo
I'm getting ready to purchase one of the Haydel crow calls and I noticed they also sell them in a combo pack with an owl hooter. My question is... is the owl hooter any good or should I just stick with the crow call? Thx.

i love using an owl hooter. I try to use them about 10 minutes before I think the turkey will gobble while it's still good and dark. What it does for me is it gets the other owls started up in the area. Sometimes you can hear them all over the place. That alone will get the gobblers started sometimes. Maybe one that's 600 yards away may not be startled by your hoot, but if an owl hoots back at you from that area, he may get the gobbler going. I haven't had much success with one after day break though.

I've never used the owl hooter before...
You don't think that Haydel crow works do you? Where did you ever get such an idea?

I don't enter the woods without my Haydel crow call (the GN special). Can't say about the owl call.

Owl hooter - Good. Bought this same combo last year and I have been very happy with both.
