I had my final hunt in South Carolina. It was slow! The birds were either in a lull or it is over. No gobbling the first two days and the other days I only worked 1 bird. I did manage to kill a bird the first day despite not hearing a gobble. He weighed 18.9 lbs, 9 1/2 inch beard and 1 1/16 inch spurs. The story isn't much. I sat on a swamp edge for about 2 1/2 hours when I noticed him slipping down the swamp at about 40 yards checking for the hen he heard. Check out his wing bars though. He looks like an Osceola.
