Congrats to all that tagged a gobbler today and for all that braved the less than ideal conditions! Amy and I got on a gobbling bird around 10:00 and managed to get him in shotgun range... he circled around us and tried to slip in the back door. Amy would have had to shoot me to get a shot but I was able to get turned and kill him. Really nice gobbler! I'll post more details and pics soon! |

Hey Freddy, Congats TO YOU my friend. Although we might have to hear Amys version of the hunt to see if the bird really slipped in the back door. I took the crossbow saturday, had one within 20 yards but did not like the shot. Passed on a jake at about 14 steps. It was a good day. barry |
