Rain is no problem, but how do you deal with 30 mph winds?

Call twice as much, twice as loud, cover twice the ground and keep the wind at your back!

A good box call can be great in the wind... especially a paddle box with lots of pitch.

I like to pattern my birds just like deer hunting, i like to know where they are roosted and where they will likely be going. if you know this, the wind will not cause much of a problem. however if i'm hunting a new piece of ground and it is very windy i use a slate call and get very aggressive. sitting up decoys along a feild edge during high winds has also worked for me a few times. you normally see the birds before you here them. hope this helps.

Ditto! I also have an aluminum call that gets pretty loud and nasty... works really well in high wind.

Primos Battleship Heartbreaker, and crank up the volume :!: If you have someone with you, have them stand about 20 yards away and listen. They will be able to hear birds that you would never hear over your call :!:
