Weight Loss
It seems the turkeys aren't the only ones losing weight this season.....I've hunted more this year than I ever have and my midsection is feeling the effects.....192 before season came in, now down to a slim and trim 186....If I only had another couple of months, I'd be back down to playing weight.....when does spring gobbler season come in Antartica?? GN, you up for that trip??

A nice perk to turkey hunting. I've been doing a workout on the treadmill everyday at lunch since mid-February in preparation for turkey season. Once turkey season began, I've managed to keep up that routine. I'm 18lbs thinning and still dropping. Much rather execise in the mountains chasing gobblers than walking on the treadmill!

Weighed in before the season at 261 lbs, I've been on a diet ever since, and am now at 241 lbs. My goal is 215 by this comming fall bow season!! The extra walking in the turkey woods sure helps achieve that goal!!

Once turkey season arrives, my workout schedule goes out the window! And, as long as I can hunt often, I don't miss it too terribly much. I feel so much better hunting when I'm in shape! It's really remarkable how being in shape allows me to be a better hunter! I can focus better, take the difficult approach to a bird, hold still longer, make mouth-operated calls after a climb, etc.

funny, everyone else is losing weight, i tend to gain weight.....maybe it's muscle mass i'm gaining....lol.....i'm so out of shape.....but this year I've refused to walk as much as I would have in the past years, I used to walk all day trying to strike a gobble......this year, just sitting has caused me to gain 15 pounds in the last month and a half
