One of my calls recently broke. The slate seperated from the pot. It did not break the glue just failed. I would like to know what type of glue is best to use.

If you have a custom or production call you might want to contact the call maker. Depending on who it is they may fix it or replace it.

As to glue, I mainly use Goop Outdoor glue on the calls I have built. Seems to work well. Home Depot and Wal-mart usally carry it. Alot of the custom call makers will use 100% silicon for the slate. Takes awhile to cure but comes out looking good.

Try Gorllia Industrial grade super strength glue. It holds well... I agree with Tscott if ya bought it from a call maker contact them they should make it right.

I use the "liquid nails" from www.CustomSawing.com. I've bought lots of call making supplies from them and highly recommend.

I've used 5 minute epoxy on a few of the calls that I made. Easy to work with and rock solid when cured.

If it's a Primos call, just send it back to them!

I agree with TScottW99. I use Goop when I make my friction (pot) calls. Also don't forget to use some weight to hold it down, or light weight clamps. Hope this helps...
