Roosting birds
What's the best way to roost birds? I know the area that some birds roost and last week I found a specific tree, but they weren't in that same tree 2 mornings ago. So I'm going out this evening to try to find where they're gonna be in the morning. Is the best way to do this waiting until it's getting dark and blow on the crow call?

Get to a high point without spooking any turkeys... sit quietly and listen for wingbeats or turkey vocalizations. After fly-up give a couple short notes on an owl call. Progress with the owl call until you have confirmed either they are not going to gobble or you have one located. Once located don't keep them gobbling just for the heck of it... you might attract another hunter.
Fly-up time for me is dusky dark in the woods... when you're pretty sure a turkey won't still be on the ground but it's still light enough to see to manuever.
